| Bondu
Log Homes inc. is approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency
for exporting in Europeans countries. It is now required and obligatory
for all wood from Canada to be exported in Europe, to be submitted
to a thermo-treatment before sending any wood products to Europeans
territory.
Basic
treatment : wood must be heated through the heart at a 560 C temperature
for at least 30 minutes, in order to eliminate (nematode) of pine
(if present), worm like microscopic organisms. To be approved our
company has to test in house in order to establish a functional
specification manual, for Bondu Log Homes inc., then as to be written
and tested at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Finally,
the company is responsible (towards) the CFIA to follow these specifications
and can be subject to random inspections from the federal organism.
Respecting criterias will grant the company with (Phytosanitary)
certificates necessary for Europeans standards.
Our
in house tests and manual were conducted by " Forintek Canada
corp. " currently the research group for wood products in Canada
and recognised by CFIA, and are responsible for delivering (Phytosanitary)
certificates.
Important
fact : No other eastern Canadian company is approved for this thermo-treatment
for a wood thickness of 5-1/8'' (130mm).
